Terms and Conditions of Heathfield Bed and Breakfast Whitby

Thank you for choosing to book your stay here with us at the heathfield Bed and Breakfast. We look forward to welcoming you. When you make this booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.

The price includes accommodation and breakfast

Reservation, Payment and Cancellations 

A booking is not confirmed or room reserved until a deposit has been received. On booking we will ask for a deposit of the first nights stay. The balance of stay is payable on arrival. We accept cash, bank Transfer or debit card

Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. Any deposit taken is non-refundable,your card will be debited for the cost of the first nights stay. For cancellations made up to 7 days before your booking you will not be liable for the total balance. For cancellations made after this time you will be liable for the total amount. By failing to take up the booking without cancelling you will be liable for the total amount, and we will debit your card accordingly.

Payments by cash, bacs, and the following cards:
Visa Debit

A deposit equal to the first nights stay
Full booking balance is due on the day of arrival.

If the booking is cancelled less than 5 days before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.
If the booking is cancelled 5 or more days before arrival then a charge equal to the first night of the stay will be made.

In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.

If after arrival, the client has to leave before the end of the stay for any reason, the full balance of the stay is liable and no refund can be given. For these reasons we strongly advise our clients to take out appropriate cancellation travel insurance.

We operate a no smoking policy within the building and gardens. Any breach of this condition will result in a minimum £50.00 surcharge for additional cleaning.
No pets allowed.

General Damage
We ask the you treat all areas respectfully, failure to meet with this request will result in a additional charge being levied. Any charge levied will be made directly to the credit or debit card detailed issued by you at the point of Booking. A receipt will be forwarded to you.

Non – availability
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Non Arrival
In the event of your non arrival your debit or credit card will be charged the full amount of your stay.

Your room is available from 4pm on day of arrival. Should you arrive before this time please park in one of the spaces provided in our car park or on the side street and feel free to wander into town. Please confirm approx arrival time, when making a booking, or at least 1 week prior to arrival, this is essential please.

We ask our guests to vacate their rooms on the day of departure by 10am to permit us to prepare the rooms for the next guests.

Damages and Breakages
Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages, which you cause, to the accommodation or its contents. We endeavour to provide a very high standard of furnishings and cleanliness in all our rooms and ask for your respect and consideration of our efforts towards your comfort. Please report any accidents, as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant. We may make an additional charge, if additional cleaning is required to furnishings/bedding etc, if you did not report this.

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors.
